Shamanism
Shamanism is humanity’s oldest spiritual tradition. It allows you to connect directly with your Guardian Angel / Spiritual Guides, and through them seek answers to important personal questions; ask for healing and help in your life, and receive practical spiritual wisdom in return.
Shamanism is about personal development through personal empowerment.
Using the ‘Core Shamanic Technique’ developed by Michael Harner in his best selling book, ‘The Way of the Shaman’, you will be introduced to the simple, safe technique of journeying to meet your Spiritual Guides and Helpers.
It is easily learned.
When you complete the course, you will be able to connect to your Spiritual Guides and Helpers to ask for their guidance on any aspect of your life.
Shaman means “the one who knows”- from the Evinki people in Siberia. A Shaman is defined by the ways s/he works: one who changes consciousness at will to travel to another reality to gain power & knowledge. On return they use this to help themselves or others.
Participants will learn to use the traditional methods of drumming, rattling and singing to shift their awareness in order to connect with their Spirit Helpers and Guides.
In the Circle afterwards, we will share our experiences of the journeys and learn how to understand them, and to recognise the different ways that Spirit relates to us. We will also explore the ethics of working shamanically.
Psychologists often try to describe shamanic journeying as an ‘inner’ journey to the unconscious or the ‘higher self’.
Shamanism is not a religion, though many religions have strong shamanic influences and leanings.
It is not unusual for those practising shamanism to have life-changing experiences. It often connects people to their soul purpose, and empowers them in their everyday lives to live their true potential.
